You are eligible to begin receiving CPP/QPP benefits as early as age 60. You no longer need to wholly or substantially cease employment in order to receive CPP/QPP benefits before age 65.

Currently, the OAS pension starts at age 65.

You must apply for these pensions. They will not begin automatically. You should apply at least 6 months before you expected to begin receiving benefits.
